Each reel in the XGD series is made from bar stock aluminum for the best strength and resistance to corrosion that 6061 aluminum can have. The reels have super-smooth adjustable carbon disc drag systems. All internal components and hardware are made from stainless steel for corrosion resistant saltwater use.

The reels spin freely on retrieve and have an outgoing click. They can be set up for right or left hand retrieve. The spool is retained with a screw cap to prevent the occasional mishap associated with quick release devices that you mistakenly think are secure (it's happened to all of us).

Each reel comes with a draw string bag for storage.
