About 6 weeks ago I bought Wild Water 11' 7WT Switch rod Combo and love it. Amazing rod and reel is very nice.
Just recently I decided to buy 11' 5WT Switch rod combo and I am glad I did. Little lighter and also 5WT rod with 250 grain Switch fly line is very versatile casting dry flies and wet flies with softer presentation, yet it can handle light weighted flies and sinking VersiLeaders.
I landed good amount Chum Salmon ranging from 10-20 lb and 11' 5WT had no problems to land the fish, just set to drag properly and let the rod and reel do the job.
This probably my favorite rod. 7WT is nice when heavier flies and sinking leaders are needed. Both 5WT and 7WT are great rods, each serving different purpose.
