I bought this pole with the hope of being able to learn how to fly fish over all my experience has been good with the pole the only thing is I have a terrible catch in my drag so when I go to pull fly line out it's easy at first then it's hard then is easy I don't know what could be causing this other then the problem with the drag it has been a decent combo set
Davey - if you have a problem you could always contact us at 585-867-3474 or email us at contact@wildwaterflyfishing.com. We could replace the reel if you would like. There are several things that could cause this. Most are easily fixed and have nothing to do with the quality of the reel.
I got this kit as a gift and I am absolutely satisfied with the quality, assortment and products included. I am planning on getting other choices as time goes by, since it is a great equipment for casting lovers.
I bought this set up to do some smaller brook fishing in West Virginia. When I received it and set up it up for the next day the reel had a sticking spot when reeling in. I contact wild water fly fishing to let them know about the reel. With less than a minute call a new reel was on its way!
