Features

  • FLY ROD: 3-weight, 5'6”, 4 Piece, medium-fast action, IM8 matte black graphite. Has machined black aluminum reel seat with double lock rings and laser etched butt cap, 5 ½” long, cigar style cork handle with compressed cork accent rings, stainless steel stripper guide with silicon carbide rings, stainless single foot guides and tip top. Each section is 18” long. Rod weight is 2.4 ounces.
  • ROD CASE: 21.5” hard tube rod case with, reel pouch and side storage pouch with zipper. The case will hold rod, reel, fly box and all the accessories. Case has a carry strap and hang ring. Rod Bag: 4-section cloth rod bag with ties. Fly rod is placed in the bag before storing in the tube for the best protection.
  • FLY REEL: 75mm diameter spool, CNC machined aluminum fly reel, adjustable disc drag. Comes preinstalled with dual-color (peach/olive), WF-3F, weight forward 3, floating fly line with welded loops, 20# white backing and 7’6" 5X tapered monofilament leader. All Wild Water fly reels are easily changed from left to right hand retrieve.
  • FLY BOX: Waterproof, Floating, 5.25" x 3.5" x 1.25", custom design & custom foam design, holds up to 372 flies. FLIES: 18 flies; size 14, foam beetle (qty6); size 12, tungsten bead head green tinsel nymph (qty6); size 12, no hackle caddis (qty6) SPARE LEADERS: 9’ 5X tapered monofilament leader, qty. 2 TIPPET: 5X, 4.4lb. test, 30 meters ACCESSORIES: retractable reel (qty2), line nipper with nail knot tying tool & poker for cleaning hook eyes (qty1), 6” stainless forceps & instruction manual.

    We bought this for creek fishing with the kids and it is an awesome package for the money. Would definitely buy again.

    5'6' flypole

    i purchased 4 of these fly rods one is in my truck one in the saddle bag of my motorcycle and one is is in a backpack. great for the small steams . great to play on a lake also. i will be contacting cust service about the fourth one the 2nd section broke. but all and all fun poles compact easy to store

    I am surprised how small the reel is and how thin the rod is. I wanted a short outfit to fish from my boat, but this is really small. I may return it, going to consult with a family member first.

    MY FIRST FLY ROD

    I'm really happy with this package and the ease of use for a beginner.
    Two or three times a year my brothers and I fish for native brook and rainbow trout in high altitude creeks in Eastern California. I've always used ultra-light spin tackle but my youngest brother is an avid fly fisherman and it looked like a lot of fun. I decided on the 3w 5'-6" package based on the small trout we catch in these creeks. The creeks are 12" - 36" wide with good habitat for the fish. The casting is 10' - 20' into the narrow water. My brother worked with me on the casting and line handling technique and it took me about 2 - 3 hrs. to start placing the fly where I wanted it to land. I caught 8 fish during the day and one of them was as nice as any I've ever caught in this creek.
    My next purchase will be a 5w 9' rod for larger fish in more open water.

    Great product for the price

    very good. only issue is how the leader can wrap inside the reel but the instructions did inform on how to quickly get it undone. that is only complaint. and first time out with it to just try it before heading to a brookie stream I went out and caught a fat 15 inch wild brown in some fast deeper water. lots of fun and it handled it
